WHO AM I?
|
Hi! Thank you for visiting my site. I live in the Atlanta, GA. (USA) metro area. I love to play gin, backgammon, and cribbage on the internet. Most of you know me as kkspecial on the Yahoo sites or kkspec on the Zone sites.
I have been asked so often about my choice of a ladder name that I thought I would use this space to explain it and let you know more about what I do.

WHAT IS KK SPECIALTIES SERVICES?

KK Speciaties Services is a business I started in 1996. (Now you see where the ladder name came from.) The business is made up of two different services.
First, I deal with over 700 different manufacturing companies to provide advertising and promotional items for business, clubs, schools, or anyone who may be in need of my talents to help them promote events or keep their names in front of clients or customers. Also, I have a full line of party items so I help with weddings, parties, and of course New Years Eve functions. THE ACCIDENT INFORMATION
|
Since I had the accident, those of you who have continued to check on me, I want you to know that I really appreciate it. It is really wonderful when you have friends that show such concern whom you have never met. I just wish our world could be as concerned about each other...it would be such a better place then.
Since I have been asked so many times what happened, I will give a short explanation. On Feb. 26, 1999, I was crossing a street in downtown Atlanta when a man making a left hand turn hit me. He was not paying attention to the cross walk and yes I was on the cross walk and had the signal to cross when he hit me.
It went to court and the man was charges just $47.00 and a slap on wrist for not paying attention to the cross walk right of way. I still can't believe that he was just charged the $47.00! Understand please that I did not wish to see him do jail time, but to me a stiffer fine would of made him pay more attention in the future.
I am doing better and thank you for your continued prayers. I still have left knee in brace and have to have surgery on it sometime in June I think. Next I undergo a long period of therapy but at least I am alive and still fussing so I have that to be thankful for.
